Expertise with experience
Hi I’m Ruth,

Founder of NutriMoor, Canine Nutrition & Wellness Consultant and lifelong dog lover.

As a dog owner myself, currently sharing adventures with my Belgian Malinois, I understand the realities and challenges that come with wanting the very best for your dog, whilst balancing everyday life.

I believe good nutrition should feel achievable, sustainable, and tailored to both the dog and the owner. My approach is down-to-earth, evidence-based, and judgement-free.

My career has given me an array of hands-on experience. I’ve worked in boarding kennels, rescue, rehabilitation, and on a game reserve in South Africa educating handlers and training anti-poaching dogs. Today, I am a practising FE Animal Management Lecturer specialising in science.

My passion for canine health started at an early age, inspired by my grandfather, a well-respected police dog handler. I watched the care and dedication put into keeping his dogs healthy in the most natural way possible, always focusing on their biological needs, working ability, and quality of life.

My 1:1 hons BSc degree is in Animal Science & Behaviour and my deeper interest in canine nutrition began with my own rescued street dog, Butch who suffered with IBD. I began extensively researching nutrition after seeing firsthand how powerful the impact on health is. Caring for Butch encouraged me to undertake further qualifications in canine nutrition and holistic health, which led to the creation of NutriMoor.Â

My goal is simple: to help owners better understand their dogs needs, build healthier habits, and support long-term well-being through nutrition and wellness. If you too want to provide the very best for your dog, please get in touch. I look forward to working with you!
